Living with Chronic illness
Living with Chronic illness
The following is an experience of a Canadian woman who lives life with Fibromyalgia and more. Always check with your doctor before trying anything in this blog. Please use this blog as a reference and seek help in your area. This is free to anyone who wants to learn how to heal and improve life with Fibromyalgia or wants health improvement from the knowledge of a Touch for Health practitioner ( 20 years experience). I have lived with Fibromyalgia for 30 years. I have learned so much and have healed greatly. Please note this is a lot of info here that I learned over many years. I just did one thing at a time.
-I started with applied kinesiology get a body balance and cleanse the organs( Touch for Health practitioner ).
-Check for parasites ( live blood cell analysis practitioner).
-Get tested for H. pylori ( Doctor or online if you have a company who does that in your area)if you have a lot of stomach issues, gastritis reflux ulcers etc.
I meditate on a acupressure mat. I cut out msg and preservatives. I take digestive enzymes, acidophilus, Joint formula ( a natural Anti-inflammatory)and magnesium malate supplements. I do detox baths. I keep hydrated all for better health dealing with Fibromyalgia. I do my best. Live in hope it feels better and opens the door to find something that works. Take care of yourself! What do you learn on an airplane in an emergency? Put the air-mask on yourself first and then help your neighbour. So it is in life. I lived in high stress and it took a toll after a car accident triggered Fibromyalgia.
I got sick and it got pretty bad and I was sent to a bone doctor. A specialists I waited 8 months to see him for about 3 minutes . He pressed on every sore inflamed spot on my body and said you have Fibromyalgia. He said it is a painful disease that has no cure and also has a high rate of suicide. I’m telling you please don’t let that scare you. I am still here and I wrote this to share what has helped me. After a few minutes of poking me the specialist wished me luck and left his office. (That was 30 ish years ago. ) I sat for a moment puzzled. I was in my late teens/early twenties and was scared hearing the doctors flat mater of fact words. Then I got angry! That anger provided fuel to my search for something better! The doctor says no cure ? all that means is he does not have an answer. So I decided by the grace of God to look for more than what i could see here in his empty specialists office. I was tired and disappointed but hopeful to find answers somewhere else. It was an emotional rollercoaster. Sometimes when a door closes you turn and walk away to find an open door somewhere else. A closed door is not the end of the world it just means keep praying and keep looking.
My life was suffering daily random pains some dull and achy, some sharp and fast. I felt defective. I had back pain, joint pain, digestive problems, chronic fatigue, panic attacks and migraines. I remember a few times in a bad fibro flare my legs swelled up and I needed help walking. Doctors predicted I would be in a wheelchair by age 30 ( did not happen thanks to all the things I did and the help I got). Every day felt like a bad flu when your bones ache! A flu that never leaves. Migraines took over my life and my social life disappeared. It was hard to work but God provided answers when I needed and got me through. The stress fed the chronic anxiety and panic attacks I often experienced. Past or present traumas get held in the body and cause-deep physical pain and hurt. Your brain can’t erase trauma, you can’t just push it away. The energy of that trauma if not attended to does not leave your body. When you push it away, drink it away, drug it away, it just gets pushed into the body. It is essential for healing to face your demons through therapy, journaling, emotional stress release so you can release this energy from the body. Here is how I did an emotional stress release ESR. Sitting or lying comfortably I put one hand over my forehead just on and above my eyebrows and the other hand covering the base of my skull on the back of my head. There are acupressure points on my head under my hands that when held this way relieves mental stress. Holding these points think about what is bothering you. Deep breath allow yourself to feel the emotions cry if you feel it. Hold these points till you can not think about the issue or problem anymore. It will feel like my mind wanders or goes quiet. When I cant think of it anymore I know I have released it. This is called emotional stress release holding points.
At the worst of my illness I met my now husband.?God does have a plan here. Stop thinking you are too much or not enough because you are beautiful and a worthwhile human being. We just need to take the extra care of ourselves and know we are worth taking care of. Love yourself and when your ready love will radiate out from you and attract more love back to you.
I tired of the doctors pills when they became many prescriptions that ended up causing a horrifying reaction in my brain stem. So I thought there has to be a better way out there. Pain killers can be hard on the liver and kidneys and cause bad constipation or impacted colon. Constipation is usually followed by loose stool in some cases, it is how the body tries to unplug itself. Side effects of meds were so harsh. A glass of prune juice or aloe vera juice, or a few dried prunes helped me with constipation. The bowels need acidophilus a good bacteria to help these issues too. Constipation is major side effect of migraine meds and pain killers and can be hard on the end of your colon and your anus. I also took milk thistle herbs to help my liver as a liver helper when taking pain killers.
I found a better way. I prayed asked God for help and to guide me. Three strangers in random conversations told me about this Touch for Health practitioner ( Applied Kinesiologist) who also did live blood cell analysis. Game changer and a carrier changer. Seek and you will find the right people and places to get the help you need.
My number one recommendation is Prayer and believing you can be healed. Sometimes God has a specific plan that needs to be done and you will need to do the work. Or it could be a spontaneous healing. Just never give up. Keep trying, form new healthy habits, and stick to it. Be open to learning and give something a good chance. It takes time to get really sick and it may take time to get better.
I had chronic stomach issues ulcers for most of my life! I wish I knew earlier to get checked for H.pylori stomach bacteria. Helicobacter pylori bacteria was discovered to have a role in gastritis and peptic ulcer disease in 1982. I did not know this or put it together for my major symptoms till much later in life. I seen a doctor for this and it can be diagnosed by a stool test or breath type of test. I also wish I would have known more about human parasites and how common it is and how little the training and education system is in the medical profession on this subject where I live. A Doctor told me parasites are considered a third world problem. And he maybe read a few pages on it in med school. (look up symptoms of parasites in the human body). Maybe that is why there are so many diseases with no cures ? Just my own personal thought.
Seeing my Touch for Health practitioner I began a series of organ detoxing:( through herbs and supplements).
The following is what my Touch for Heath practitioner tested ,each step and herbs and supplements were addressed to my needs.
- Getting the oxygen up in my body, this enables the body to be ready for bowel cleansing. This may be heme iron , b 12, antioxidants. Joint formula etc.
- Bowel cleanse. ( this may need a few to complete). Good to have a fiber , clay, b vitamin, probiotic, acidophilus mix in your cleanse. With chronic illness, inside on the walls of the bowels they get coated over (the villi )of the intestines with old toxic tar like matter. This bocks the nutrients from being absorbed. Cleaning this improves vitamin and mineral absorption and overall health.
- Liver flushing( this may need a few times till clear the gallbladder and liver of stones and gunk.I did the flushes with a two week break in between flushes). Dr . Hulda Clark liver flush is what I did. i also took apple-cider vinegar cleanse in between flushes. 1 oz shot in the morning in a glass of water every other day.
- Parasite cleanse. Now I had done the necessary steps first cleaning up the bowels ,liver, gallbladder, so I safely did a parasite cleanse. Again a T.F.H practitioner tested me for the herbs, how often etc. Later in life I discovered Ivermectin to get rid of parasites( did this on my own call a bit controversial more on this later in this blog).
- Chelation: Cleaning the veins and arteries( I used Vitatree brand Veins and arteries supplement).
My Touch for Health practitioner also did body balances on me putting everything back in to place. This works on the spine, hips, joints, muscles, organs, relieves pain and stress ,improves the total body’s functioning.
Other modalities that help: I did a combination of these things over the years. You can find items on-line or at your local health food store.
-Counselling ( I called my local mental health center and they found me a councellor and it was government funded for what I needed. Always ask if you can get funding.
-Chiropratic adjustment. He also did cold laser on my spine which helped my pain tremendously!
-Aroma therapy- my go to are my essential oils. Lavender is very calming. Lots of oils to choose from. I use lavender, ginger, frankincense in a base of coconut oil on my feet. I just massage in and cover with socks and it is very calming. I added cbd oil too for pain in the body. I have a essential oil diffuser that puts the oils into the air.
-Massage was very good for detoxing and draining the lymph nodes. Drink lots water before your massage. Ask for what pressure you want ,deep tissue was too much for me.
-acupuncture
-acupressure
-Sleep well go to bed at the same time and get up at the same time.
-Yoga- I took a few classes got a mat some books videos and do it at home when I like. It really does loosen the fibro tension in the body.
-Pilates- I have a pilates chair in the living room so I can do some simple exercises a few times a day and watch t.v.
-Exercise: Stretching and walking the dog. I started easy and slow did not want to overdue it.
-Book called The Secret, Learning about energy and the law of attraction.
-Book called Potatoes not prozac, for dealing with panic attacks and how sugar can trigger them.
-Hypnosis, vanceromane.com hypnotist sells cds on all kinds of hypnosis online. I quit smoking, and used all kinds of his specific hypnosis cds for what I needed help with.
This is what I did for myself. Im not being paid for any kind of endorsements here.
-Meditation is so important to train a stressed out body and mind to relax. Repetition is key here. Just try your best and it will get easier as you go. I like a few apps on my phone. One is called Calm and the other is called My Life.
I am always learning on this journey and I know my brain is wired for fight or flight. I also know that learning to detox and relax is ok. I will never loose my edge it will always be there when I need it( fight or flight). I can relax and let go more often and it is ok to learn to be quiet and calm.
On my healing journey I had more going on than just fibromyalgia. The abdominal pain and Irritable bowel pain had me in a knot, a physical ball of severe pain on the floor in tears every morning. Sometimes passing out from the pain. In my early forties I was dismissed by doctors of the horrible IBS ( Irritable Bowel Syndrome)attacks and constant low side pain he blamed on fibromyalgia. The doctor and lack of professionalism missed giving an internal ultrasound, he said I did not need it. Turned out he could have cost me my life! I had a ovarian cyst the size of a grapefruit ready to explode on my ovary! Thanks to the strong intuition of the ultrasound lady and the grace of God , she did an internal test on her own call. She ran a internal and found the huge ovarian cyst stuck to the back of my uterus( I gave her a thank you for saving my life card and gift after that ordeal ). Devine intervention took place I had life saving emergency surgery the next morning! The doctor said it was a miracle, the cyst was so ready to rupture and I would have bled to death bleeding internally before I could get to the hospital. They diagnosed me with Endometriosis and had also removed scar tissue choking my descending bowel!! Not just Irritable bowel like the doctor assumed it was. Wow! This is where they should have done a colonoscopy maybe? I learned you need to make the doctor listen and run tests. Write down all your symptoms and get your doctor to listen to you.
And through out the years and the bouts of continuing stomach pain and upset led to a lot of vomiting and misery. Turned out it was H Pylori bacterial infection. I could have had this since childhood.
I learned many amazing tools to deal with these afflictions:
-Detoxing the body through herbs and supplements: Getting my oxygen up to at least 80% then bowel cleansing, liver flush, parasite cleanse and the chelation cleanse. (Cleanses were done in this order and directed by a live blood cell analysis practitioner who also was a Touch for Health practitioner).
-Prayer and meditation. I had to learn to relax let go. I can’t control everything but I can control my thoughts and my actions. I am not responsible for other peoples lives I can’t control how others are. Be assertive and kind. Faith is alive and working in a calm energy. Peace be still. Let yourself have a stress release, and or cry, punch a pillow or punching bag( boxing helps), and then breath, pray , give thanks gratitude is key. The more things that I am grateful for the more I have to be grateful for. Gratitude creates a loving giving energy that goes out from you in energy and comes back to you in that positive energy. It takes practice to focus on the good and how you want to be instead of all the stuff you hate and have no control over.Practice a new focus of what you want and all you are grateful for now. Practice by writing down all the good things you can think of. Count your blessings list. Gets your mind into a better place. It may be hard at first when life is hard but it will change for the better when you focus on the good you have. I am alive and willing to learn new things. I have a roof over my head and food in my belly. I have choices, I can decide for myself. I have comfortable shoes. I have a friend I can talk to and be myself. Just what ever you can think of and go from there. Have faith to get healing or where you need to go stop worrying how you will get there. Stop looking for the magic pill that one little pill that will cure everything. We all want a cure an easy answer. It does not exist! Commit to being healthy takes commitment and work and no one can do it for you. Stick with a program if it makes sense to you give it a good try. Be open to guidance to helpful people and messages (this blog is full of them). Remember It is ok to feel your feelings just direct them in a healthy way. Counselling helps and journaling helps too. I found that writing letters to express how I feel about the people who traumatized me was a great outlet. I wrote down everything I could not say and let my emotions out. Then when the tears were done I tore the pages up in tiny bits or burnt them in the fireplace (dispose safely). Was a great stress release. Think before you speak and walk away when needed when in situations with toxic people. I bet you know a few narcissists? And rest take a nap or a detox bath when stress/pain is high.
Use essential oils. Fibromyalgia keeps us toxic so cleansing the organs and detox baths are really important. Infared saunas help detox too.
-Detox Epsom salt baths. 1 cup Epsom salts. 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup sea salt, and a little bubble bath or a few drops essential oils. 1-2 times a week 30 minutes in a warm bath. This bath is detoxing and a awesome pain relief for me.
When you have a fibro flare up ,make a herbal tea and get in the tub.( buy Epsom salts at any grocery or pharmacy) If you live in a area with natural hot springs or lake or ocean, the water ( if safe for swimming) is very cleansing to be in or near. Water contains negative ions that cleanse stress from the human body and improves oxygen to the brain.
-Himalayan salt lamps and selenite can provide ion cleansing in your home. Look it up.
-Infrared Sauna heats up your body and you sweat out lots of toxins. I would do a sauna with a day or two break in between. Be sure to Shower off and hydrate after your sauna session. Be sure to drink lots of water during and after your 30-40 min sauna.
-Exercise on a vibrating machine. It is so good for leg , back, body pain relief. Improves circulation, drains lymphatics, and tones muscles.
-Chair palates. Low impact and easy exercise.
-Stretching: Fibromyalgia is such a tense state the more I stretch before any walking or exercise the better I feel. So important to stretch when you get out of bed or out of a chair. Cats stretch after a nap or sitting for a while.
-Weighted blanket helps calm the central nervous system. Great for anxiety sufferers. I use mine when tense or anxious. I cover myself then do a meditation.
- Digestive enzymes helps break down protein and fats.
- Damiana , lemon balm, chamomile teas for bad nerves.
- Ginger root for nausea. Its hot but so amazing!
- Peppermint oil pills, tea, or chews helps stomach issues like nausea and I.B.S.
-Eating very little sugar and more fresh vegetables and lean meats. I ate smaller meals and more healthy snacks throughout the day.
-Avoid msg, yeast extract , aspartame, these are cytotoxins. Cytotoxins are chemicals /additives that damage your nerve cells. These toxins dry out the little legs on the nerve cells called telomeres and they break off and can’t get the proper signal to the next nerve cell.
Eat clean fresh foods avoid the chemicals and greasy foods. Lower your sugar intake, or if diabetic or sugar sensitive use natural sweeteners. I like Stevia or monk fruit, etc ( Do some research on Cytotoxins and also natural sweeteners to see what options are out there).
- need a pick me up try green tea, ginseng, protein snacks or drinks.
-Acupressure mat and neck pillow used daily so healing and calming. 20 minutes laying on this mat relaxes the body and eases pain. I use mine just about every day. Along with the weighted blanket and meditation.
-Get tested for H Pylori. It is so important if you have recurring stomach issues , gastritis and or ulcers. You can do the antibiotics ( just remember to build up your good bacteria acidophilus and probiotics take in between the antibiotics, and after done the antibiotics take more acidophilus and eat fermented foods. I chose Metula tea that I purchased online I waned something natural that would not strip all the bacteria from my body. . The tea may take longer if infection has been there for a long time. But most can do in in 30 days. Mastic gum is another supplement I used separately from the tea.
Supplements : look up benefits and uses of any herb to learn more.
-Dandelion root ( congested liver)
-Milk thistle ( helps thin bile in liver) was good to take when I was on a lot of pain killers.
-Magnesium malate a must for relaxing the muscles and much more. This I take a couple every morning especially good for my fibromyalgia.
-Calcium whole food or coral is what I like. Best taken before bed.
-Get on a good joint formula taken everyday helps the joints. Make sure it has minerals and Turmeric.
-Probiotics :acidophilus and probiotics. Milk or water Kifer, kombucha, fermented pickles and fermented vegetables. Yogurt regular or non dairy. I eat often to replenish the good bacteria in the guts.
-Serrapeptase , breaks up scar tissue and mucus in the body. This is good for my endometriosis. I take for a few weeks and then have a break till I feel I need it again.
-CBD oil internally or massaged on the spine and feet with lavender, ginger, frankincense and a carrier oil is awesome.
-Vitamin D you can get your levels tested at a pharmacy. Most people in colder countries and indoor people need to supplement vitamin D.
Aloe vera juice for healing the insides. Very soothing and excellent for cuts of burns used fresh from live plant. That is an aloe vera on the picture for this blog. they are fairly easy to grow.
-B complex the stress vitamin.
-Fish oil
-Cold laser therapy sessions on my spine helped my pain tremendously.
- Fesh lemon slice in water, lemon helps your liver function better. keeping hydrated is a must. Dehydration can be painful and feel like anxiety. This is why I offer water to stressed out family or friends. Or just as a courtesy.
- Prayer , faith, trusting you will find a way and learning from the journey. With Fibromyalgia you could just go into a remission or you may need to work on yourself. The journey has a lot to teach too.
In high stress times I needed extra care for myself. I had lost a lot of people in one year ( my dad, Oldest brother. 2 dogs) and the fibro flare was a lot. This was pretty heavy stress and I developed stomach ulcers yet again. This is where i discovered H pylori and sought help. A major stepping stone for my healing. As you are reading remember the things I repeat are so important. These are are many years of learning put together to share with any ill person. I had been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Endometriosis, And H Pyloria and I wish I would have known all this back then.
H .Pylori is a corkscrew like bacteria that burrows into the wall of the stomach and causes inflammation ulcers and changes the environment inside the stomach. It can lead to stomach cancer. I had all the symptoms of H. pylori. It fit and it made sense that stomach ulcers were caused by this bacteria. I probably had it since childhood, and was a big part of my health problems. I had horrible gas, gastritis, stomach aches ,acid stomach, acid reflux, stomach ulcers all through my life. So I kept researching. I found a tea from South Africa called Matula tea. This tea claims to kill the h pylori and lots other symptoms too. 30 days 2 teas a day on a empty stomach. May take longer if you have had the infection longer.
When you cleanse out toxins you can experience die of symptoms( also known as Herxheimer reaction, Google it). The flue like tired symptoms maybe headaches, tenderness aches , all can be experienced with any detox. The die off symptoms were strong in me, the tea also kills yeast.
-Activated charcoal ( supplement form)is good for die off. I took a teaspoon in a glass of water once or twice a week at least 2 hours away from medication.
I recently watch a video on tic toc of a young woman who was battling her Fibromyalgia and other diagnoses. Seems like it has to pair up with other labels too. I wish I could tell her what I have often thought about. Like if I could go back and give myself advice in my teens early twenties when it was all hitting me like a ton of bricks. She is my inspiration for writing this blog. Make peace with in yourself. I do not recommend the following but it has helped me on my health journey. This is my experience I am not telling anyone to do anything that is each persons choice.
In a live blood cell analysis session( see if you have a practitioner in your area)I had parasite worms in my blood I could see them on the tv sceen hooked up to the microscope. Later in life I discovered Ivermectin to kill parasites and was impressed, it won a world Nobel prize. I took Ivermectin ( Google it)on my own call and it worked well for me for parasites and in the Covid pandemic. I did use the horse-paste 1 notch equals 50 pounds. I did the bowel and liver clean up first then the Ivermectin. I took 2-3 notches once a month for 3 months. This is my experience and in no way a recommendation.
I had anemia often over the years and I believe was caused from parasites. They feed on red blood cells and on the walls of the bowels, and can go undetected hiding in other organs. Please research anything you see in my blog and get the proper advice from a doctor or health practitioner in your area to what you need. Please do not email me on this site. This is a jewelry selling site and the only place I can use at the moment to blog this info. Use this blog as a reference to get help in your area. Google and learn about these things I use.
Your welcome to have a look at this website here that I am very happy to bring light comfortable artist made jewelry that I made for anyone to enjoy. Being sensitive to so many things I enjoy wearing my creations and you will too. I like cotton I live in fleece all winter long. I love bamboo for summer clothes, its cool and moisture wicking. I buy my clothes a little looser just in case they shrink. When I was younger all my clothes were so tight with no stretch. Thank the inventor of spandex. Look for spandex or elastine in clothing when buying online. Buy clothing a little looser and not so tight around the waist. Try on clothes sit and bend see if it feels good. I still love some form fitting clothing I just make sure they have stretch to them. Leggings and t shirts are comfy and cotton spandex is awesome. People remember cotton breathes and that is important to have in a panty or underwear for good health. Your private parts needs to breath. I use hypoallergenic laundry soap and dryer sheets. If I want a nice smell I put essential oil on half a dryer sheet in the dryer.
God bless and I pray in Jesus name that you are blessed and find more peace and healing in your life. I hope you know you are here for a reason and I hope your good days are loving life. And your bad days are short, calm, restful, and full of self care. The more work you do on your health the more good days you will have. We are human so learn to float through the bad days with extra care and patience for yourself. Never quit on yourself as long as you keep trying you are doing what you are meant to do. You have this one body, and this one experience being a beautifully made human being on this planet Earth. Make the most of your time here. Live your journey and treat yourself like you would a best friend. Care for you, have fun, take chances, and have faith.
